Welcome to Earth to Joy, the website! I'm elated to share this space and that you've found this nook of the internet. Thank you for being here.

My name is Joy, and I've always had a passion and curiosity for creating art, sustainability, and women's wellness + empowerment. I was born in Philippines and raised in Canada, growing up in a multi-family immigrant home, community and gathering around good food and company is a BIG part of who I am. 

Earth to Joy has been my passion project for years, attached to different mediums before finding the right space. Little did I know, it wasn't the right space online I was looking to discover-- I needed time to find the right space mindfully in my life and this phase of my experience on this shared soil with you all. 

I'd love to make the best of the rest of my time here, and have always had a pull to share it online. As I enter my Saturn Return I realise that nows the best time! 

"The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now."

One thing about me is that journaling has been a part of my regular routine since I was in grade 4 (!!!) It honestly all started with a school assignment to make weekly reflections. The school year was finished, but I still had a desire to write down what I did during the Summer, then became obsessed with collecting journals, naturally :p

Fast forward to now, knowing how impactful journaling is, how thereputic it can be to unleash your emotions... the best part is, you can rip it up, burn it, or throw it out afterwards if you feel like itttt! I'd love to share prompts, personal journal entries, and ideas with you from experience here. 

Other things to expect here will be watercolour and acrylic painting tips, tutorials, and some of my previous artwark! I'll also be focusing on community initiatives like mutual aid, and any other information I can share that may help out others <3
